Midwest Energy Emissions Corp. Secures Multi-Year Contract Worth Over $1 Million per Year with New Utility

LEWIS CENTER, OH / ACCESSWIRE / March 5, 2019 / Midwest Energy Emissions Corp. (OTCQB: MEEC) ("ME2C" or the "Company"), a leader in mercury emissions control in North America, announced today that it has secured a new multi-year supply contract valued in excess of $1M annually with a USA-based utility.

"This robust, multi-year contract, inclusive of a license to operate our patented process, is a strong testament to the value we provide with our SEA® program, offering the best available control solution," said Richard MacPherson, President and CEO of ME2C. "This contract is a result of our ability to help this customer overcome challenging mercury control conditions, while creating operational and economic efficiencies at the plant level. As we move forward in 2019, we expect to continue to drive shareholder value by securing additional contracts with USA-based and international customers currently in our pipeline. This will be combined with the continued support of Caldwell Cassady & Curry P.C. previously announced as having been engaged to lead the Company's efforts in licensing our patented SEA® technologies across the USA coal fleet.''

The Company's SEA® technologies help clients achieve and remain in full compliance with all applicable state and federal mercury compliance rules. Key advantages of the Company's SEA® technologies include improved mercury oxidation and increased sorbent reactivity, improving mercury capture while using far less sorbent, and minimized ESP particulate by using lower amounts of sorbent overall as compared to all other approaches.
